Secret Units

Secret is the top summon rarity in Anime Origins. After the 14 August 2026 Roblox launch, three published Secrets sit together in S+ on the unit tier list: Madara (Edo Tensei), Valcrad (Unleashed), and Cursed Lover (Pure Love). They do not clone each other. Madara deletes packs. Valcrad freezes bosses. Cursed Lover steals actives and draws a line through a lane. Pulling one does not make the other two worthless. Pulling none means you live on the Mythic units page until the banner listens.

All three want damage traits, not Scholar. Immortal, Ascendant, and Overseer belong here. Hustler belongs on Bluma. If you only have one Secret, it is your Immortal candidate and your EXP sink. Online co-op still allows only one Immortal per team, so say so in chat before two players lock the same rule.

Madara (Edo Tensei)

Madara is the launch AOE Secret. Heaven’s Pressure summons a Sosano Blade every five attacks. After a short delay the blade slams for 75 percent of Madara’s damage in an area and applies Calamity for six seconds. Calamity marks the target, then detonates a portion of the damage Madara dealt to that target while the mark was active. That is why Madara wants to keep hitting the same packed bend instead of being rotated off the lane for a single-target pose.

Sosano Time starts at 20 seconds. Kills before you spend the resource add duration: plus 3 seconds per normal, plus 10 per mini-boss, plus 15 per boss, capped at 180 seconds. Dumping Sosano on an empty lane wastes the ramp. Sosano Ribcage is the defensive layer: a 50 percent chance to block an incoming debuff or crowd-control hit, then three seconds of immunity. Raid chapters that spam stuns on your carry are why Ribcage is not flavor text.

Heaven Splitter (ability) manifests Perfect Sosano and slashes for 500 percent damage at up to triple Madara’s range. Save it for leaked bosses or packed Infinite clumps, not for the first trash wave. Pair Madara with Bluma so the gold exists to upgrade the unit that actually owns this button.

Place Madara on corners where one slam clips two paths. Ascendant is optional; Immortal is the dream. Decay is a mismatch unless you are stacking Calamity with a separate DoT unit on purpose.

Valcrad (Unleashed)

Valcrad (inspired by Alucard) is the boss Secret. Third Eye grants plus 15 percent crit chance. Each crit permanently adds plus 1 percent range, up to plus 10 percent. The unit gets more coverage the longer a fight lasts, which is Infinite and Raid behavior, not chapter-one behavior.

Bloodthirst adds plus 3 percent damage per bleeding enemy in range, capped at plus 10 percent. If nothing on your board applies bleed, this passive sleeps. Coffin Trap is the headline: when a boss enters range, a coffin drops ahead on the path. If the boss crosses it, that boss is stunned for 7 seconds. Each boss can be trapped once. Only one coffin can be placed every 18 seconds, and that cooldown is shared across your coffins. Two Valcrad placements do not double-stun the same boss on a private timer.

Restriction Release counts kills in range. Every 36 defeats lowers Restriction by one. Restriction 4 is plus 10 percent damage. Restriction 3 is plus 10 percent DoT damage. Restriction 2 summons a ghoul every 20 kills (summon health 33 percent of Valcrad’s damage). Restriction 1 adds 25 percent summon health. Restriction 0 summons every 15 kills and ghouls gain 60 percent speed. Farm comps that never reach Restriction 2 are wasting the kit. Boss comps still want the coffin even if ghouls are late.

Put Valcrad where the boss must walk. Put a farm unit behind so Restriction stacks from trash before the boss spawn. Rupture and Head Hunter love Third Eye. Ascendant loves the coffin window.

Cursed Lover (Pure Love)

Cursed Lover (inspired by Yuta) is the flexible Secret. Lingering Queen’s Heads: every six attacks, one Cursed Head fires a mini Love Beam. There is a 30 percent chance to spawn two heads instead. Each head deals 85 percent damage in a small area. This is the idle pattern while Copy is on cooldown.

Copy selects a unit and steals one copyable active ability. Cursed Lover stores up to four copied actives at once, keeping original effects and cooldowns, then Copy itself goes on cooldown. In online co-op this is a second kit: Heaven Splitter, a farm active, or a stun, depending on who placed what. In solo play you copy your own Madara or Goju button and become a two-unit toolbox.

Love Beam (ability) hits five times on a wide line for 300 percent total damage. Aim along the track, not at a single standing boss unless the line also clips adds. Cursed Lover falls from S+ only if you never press Copy. A Secret that sits on auto-heads alone is still good; a Secret that holds four actives is why the tier list refuses to pick a single “best unit.”

Who to feed when you own more than one

Feed the Secret that matches the mode you are failing. Story leaks on packs: Madara. Raid bosses live too long: Valcrad. Public lobbies with random kits: Cursed Lover. Do not split EXP evenly across three bodies if only one is placed. Evolution materials from Story, Infinite, and Raids should hit the placed carry first.

These three Secrets cover AOE, boss crowd control, and a copy kit, which is why they share S+ instead of sitting in a single-winner row. Keep them next to Mythic farm, not instead of it, and only spend Immortal pity after the body you place has already cleared a full Story chapter without leaking on the last wave.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Which Secret unit should I build first?

Madara for AOE Story clears, Valcrad for bosses and Raids, Cursed Lover if you can Copy actives. All three are S+ on the [unit tier list](/tier-list/units/).

Does Coffin Trap stack with a second Valcrad?

The 18 second coffin cooldown is shared, and each boss can be trapped once. Extra copies do not give you a private stun timer.

Can Cursed Lover copy Secret abilities?

Copy stores up to four copyable actives with original effects and cooldowns. In co-op, that often means a teammate's slash or stun. Check what the lobby actually placed.

Should Secret units replace Bluma?

No. Secrets spend gold. Bluma prints it. Keep the farm slot described on [Mythic units](/players/mythic-units/).

What trait goes on Secret carries?

Immortal, Ascendant, or Overseer. Ace is a parked roll. Do not put Hustler here unless you have no farm unit at all.
