Anime Origins Unit Tier List

This page ranks every discovered unit in Anime Origins on Roblox. The roster now includes 24 names across Secret, Mythic, Legendary, and Epic rarities. Letter grades describe how hard a name carries Story Mode, Infinite Mode, and Raids after the 14 August 2026 release and the mid-August balance patch, not how rare the summon animation looks. Secret rarity helps, but a Mythic farm unit can still be the difference between upgrading on time and leaking the boss. Treat the table as an early-meta read, not a forever ranking.

Cross-check passives before you feed EXP. Secret kits live on Secret units. Mythic kits live on Mythic units. Legendary and Epic kits live on Legendary and Epic units. After you pick a carry, copy a lane plan from team builds instead of placing five damage dealers and hoping cash appears. If you are missing Hill coverage for flying enemies, read Hill units.

Best Anime Origins release tier list and meta units

S+ — The top of the meta

Madara (Edo Tensei) remains the launch AOE Secret. Heaven’s Pressure drops Sosano blades that slam for 75 percent damage and apply Calamity. Sosano Time grows from 20 to 180 seconds on kills. Ribcage blocks crowd control. Heaven Splitter is the panic button at 500 percent damage at triple range. Put Immortal or Ascendant here.

Cursed Lover (Pure Love) is the flexible Secret. Lingering Queen’s Heads fire mini Love Beams. Copy stores up to four active abilities. Love Beam hits five times along a line for 300 percent total. In online co-op, Copy becomes a second kit.

Valcrad (Unleashed) is the boss Secret. Third Eye adds crit and stacks range. Bloodthirst scales against bleeding targets. Coffin Trap stuns bosses for 7 seconds. Restriction Release feeds ghouls as kills accrue.

Bon (Purgatory) is the best support Mythic. Master Chef Sushi provides Damage, Cooldown, and Range buffs to allies. He also generates income from defeated enemies. Bon is a Hybrid unit that deals decent damage while buffing your carry. No other Mythic combines support, damage, and economy in one slot.

S — Strong carries and nukes

Starku (Primordial) is the premier Mythic nuke. He rewards smart placement with bonus Damage, Range, and lane control through Lone Gunslinger positioning. His burst damage is powerful enough that some tier lists rank him S+ alongside Secrets. Trait with Overseer or Rupture.

Igritto (Commander) is a steady DPS carry. His Frenzy ability grants lingering plus 35 percent Damage and minus 20 percent Cooldown. Oppressing provides consistent combat buffs. Trait with Rupture for burst windows.

Goju (Honored One) brings Infinity, which nullifies attacks, and Infinity Expansion, which slows enemies. He is lane insurance for Infinite Mode. Pair with any damage carry for a stable board.

Tango (Star of Festivals) is a Legendary with strong AOE. He clears Story packs reliably and holds early Infinite waves. He is S-tier on some tier lists for his consistent damage output.

A — Core Mythics and strong specialists

Noroto (Linked) cycles Nine-Tails Cloak for a timed burst of damage, cooldown, and range. He is the Story sweeper when Madara did not drop.

Tojei (Sorcerer Killer) has strong boss damage and a self-sufficient kit. His Neutral typing provides flexibility. He does not need buffs from support units.

Vegita (Super) is the best Mythic Hill unit. He covers flying enemies that Ground units cannot reach and synergizes with Goki for plus 25 percent Crit Chance. Essential after Story chapter 4.

Aneko (Queen) is the Legendary Hill alternative. Full AOE, stuns, and damage scaling against low-health enemies. She is the backup when Vegita is missing.

Bluma (Data Analyst) is the farm unit you keep after Secrets arrive. Training Data converts kills into wave-start income from 5 to 30 percent. Replacing Bluma with a fourth damage unit is how lobbies stall.

Goki (Super 3) builds Fighting Spirit stacks for additional Damage and Crit Chance. He synergizes with Vegita for plus 25 percent Crit Chance. Easy to get and evolve.

Yoto (Calamity) is a Legendary with strong single-target boss damage. He excels at killing bosses and elite enemies but lacks AOE for dense waves.

B — Fillers, niche picks, and unknowns

Itsugo (Dangai) has a smooth rare-to-Mythic evolution path. He is easy to get and evolve. A-tier on some tier lists.

Zeldo (Piety) provides crowd control and damage. Petrify and buff utility make him a useful flex slot.

Konpatchi (Unleashed) is a Legendary with strong AOE damage. He clears Story packs reliably.

Gyutari (Upper Moon) has bleed DPS that pairs with Valcrad. He is not a standalone carry but a strong secondary in bleed comps.

Melio (Assault) has rotating Commandments covering pull, petrify, burn, slow, resistance shred, and team buffs. The flexibility is real but the unreliability keeps him at B.

Oxi (Mage) is a Legendary with magic damage. B-tier filler.

Mykie (Toman) is a Legendary with decent damage. B-tier filler.

Itsoda stacks range while idle and can serve as a budget Hill pick. B-tier.

Shinoru (Butterfly Dance) is B with an asterisk: launch data is still thin. Do not spend Immortal pity here.

C and D — Economy and underwhelming kits

Leorio is C for damage and useful for cash. Golden Refund has a 10 percent chance to return 15 percent of an upgrade cost. Place it, take refunds, sell once Bluma is funded.

Roxi is D-tier. His kit is underwhelming. Use only if you have nothing else.

How to use the list without over-feeding

Feed EXP to S+ and S first. Put income traits on Bluma, damage traits on Madara, Valcrad, or Cursed Lover, and stop rolling on Leorio. If your only high rarity is Goju, that is still an S-tier start: pair it with Bluma or Leorio, then push Story Mode for evolution materials.

Copy a full lane from team builds once two of these names are placed. A tier letter does not tell you whether the unit should sit on a bend, a straight, a Hill tile, or a boss entrance. Make sure at least one Hill unit is on the board after chapter 4 for flying enemy coverage.

If a later banner prints a cheaper Secret with cleaner AOE, Madara can drop a half-step without this page pretending the August list was eternal. Until that patch lands, S+ still means the units that win public lobbies when your Mythics are underleveled and your farm slot is the only reason upgrades continue.
