Getting Started

Anime Origins is a live Roblox tower defense from Origins Project. It released on 14 August 2026 with online co-op, free private servers, and a 22-player cap. Your first hour is not about collecting every parody unit. It is about unlocking the Codes button, putting one real carry on the field, and keeping a farm slot so later waves still pay for upgrades.

If a friend is already in a lobby, join them. If you want a quiet session, open a free private server. Either way, treat Story Mode as the tutorial that also drops materials. Do not sit in the hub rolling traits on units you have not placed yet.

Controls

Placement is mouse-first. Movement only matters when you walk to an NPC or reposition the camera around a path. The dedicated bind sheet is Controls. Use a private server if the public HUD hides the orange Codes button.

You will use Left Mouse Button constantly: picking a unit from the bar, dropping it on a tile, and selecting it again to upgrade. Jump is mostly hub traversal. If a placement fails, you are usually blocked by pathing, a placement limit, or missing cash, not a hidden keybind.

First-hour path

Do these steps in order. Skipping codes or skipping a farm unit is how launch accounts stall.

  1. Join the verified Origins Project experience and finish the short lobby prompts.
  2. Enter Story Mode and play until you hit Level 10. Story is the fastest legal XP and the first material source.
  3. Unlock the orange Codes button on the right side of the screen. Follow How to Redeem Codes and claim every working string on the Codes Hub. Expect Gems, Trait Rerolls, and Stat Prisms.
  4. Open summon banners with a budget, not a dump. How to Summon explains Secret versus Mythic and why you keep Gems after the first lucky pull.
  5. Build around one damage unit and one farm unit. Bluma (Data Analyst) converts Training Data into bonus income. Leorio can refund a slice of upgrade cash. Copy a starter lineup from Team Builds if you do not want to invent a lane.
  6. Do not open Trait Reroll on junk. Two traits can be stored and one stays active. Rolling Reach I onto an Epic you will replace is a wasted currency.

What the currencies are for

Gems buy summons. Trait Rerolls change the modifier on a unit you already own. Stat Prisms and Perfect Stat Prisms tune stats after you have a keeper. Cash and income exist only inside a match; they pay placements and upgrades, then disappear when the session ends. Spending account currencies to fix a single failed Story chapter is almost always the wrong trade.

If codes give you a pile of Gems, summon until you have a usable Mythic or Secret, then stop. A second Secret is luxury. A farm unit that lets you upgrade on time is not.

Units worth noticing on day one

Secret units change a lobby. Madara (Edo Tensei) slams Sosano blades, applies Calamity, and can fire Heaven Splitter for a huge line slash. Valcrad (Unleashed) stacks bleed value, coffins bosses, and eventually spills ghouls. Cursed Lover (Pure Love) copies up to four active abilities and cuts a Love Beam through a lane. You will not own all three. You do not need all three.

Mythic is the realistic core. Goju (Honored One) nullifies incoming hits with Infinity and slows enemies that linger. Bluma is the farm pick: allied kills near her generate Training Data, and wave-start income jumps at 35, 80, 145, 240, and 380 Data. Noroto (Linked) cycles Nine-Tails Cloak for a timed damage, cooldown, and range spike. Shinoru exists at launch, but the public kit is still thin; do not plan a whole account around missing numbers.

Legendaries such as Tranko, Itsoda, Kingo, and Neli can clear early Story. They are not a reason to spend Trait Rerolls. Park them as placeholders and feed EXP into whichever unit you will still place next week.

What not to do in the first session

Do not dump every Gem on the first banner because a Secret animation played once in someone else’s clip. Do not reroll traits until a unit has survived a full Story chapter as your main placement. Do not chase Infinite wave records before you have income. Do not fill every tile with Epics; cash in Anime Origins is a pacing tool, and a cluttered lane upgrades nothing.

Online friends help more than a third mediocre unit. A coordinated pair can cover a lane and a boss coffin. A random 22-player raid lobby can also work, but your first hour does not need that chaos. Story with one friend in a private server teaches placement faster than a crowded public map.

A clean stop for hour one

End the session when three things are true: codes are redeemed, you can name your carry, and you can name your farm. If those are done, log out. The next session is evolution materials and a first serious trait roll, not another panic summon. If Story already feels tight, stay on the current chapter and upgrade instead of pushing. The wiki’s Story page exists for that exact decision.

Bookmark the Codes page. Launch strings expire. The rest of this wiki assumes you already claimed them and then refused to spend the whole stack on the first shiny Secret you did not need.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What are the Anime Origins controls?

WASD moves, Space jumps, and Left Mouse Button selects or places a unit. Most combat time is spent placing and upgrading with the mouse, not platforming.

When can I redeem codes?

The Codes button unlocks at Level 10. Play Story until you hit that level, then follow How to Redeem Codes and paste strings from the Codes Hub.

Should I reroll traits in the first hour?

No. Keep Trait Rerolls until you have a unit you will still place after the next banner. Rolling on a temporary Epic wastes a scarce currency.

What should I summon first?

Aim for one damage unit you can evolve and one farm unit such as Bluma. Stop spending Gems once those two roles exist. Read How to Summon before you empty the wallet.

Can I play with friends on day one?

Yes. Online co-op is live, private servers are free, and Story is the best place to learn placements together. You do not need a 22-player lobby to start.
